In a world obsessed with fame—with attaining the applause and approval of others—we need the Christmas story to remind us of a better way. We need to be reminded that the King of Kings came to a stable, born of a young mother from a small town; that His was a birth announced to mere shepherds, and overlooked by the multitude. We need to be reminded that our King is a humble King who chooses to reveal Himself to humble people. We need the story Christmas to show us again how true greatness is found in hidden places and in unseen people; how true greatness is found in humility.
