As we begin to prepare to gather in-person again, we’ve outlined the following phases to guide us through this process. COVID-19 is an ever-changing situation and we know that we must remain flexible. There are many details that still have to be worked out but we wanted to go ahead and provide you with an overview of our plan. Additional details will be coming and you will be informed prior to the start of each phase.

Our doors are open again this Sunday for worship and we have worked hard to make this a safe environment to worship together! ! By reserving your seat, you are helping our team prepare for Sunday mornings. Even though we will not have nursery and Rooted classes available for the kids, we will have fun things for them to do in their seats!

We are excited to announce that we will resume on-campus worship services on June 21, while also continuing to provide a high-quality online worship experience! The full details of our staged re-entry approach are listed below plus a video from Church Operations Leader, Hailey Jurkovich explaining more about our first Sunday back!

PHASE 1: RETURN

Start Date: Sunday, June 21st

What we will be doing:

Services: We will be gathering for worship at 10:00am at the Demmer Building and 10:30am at the Church Building. Both locations will have the same service.

Physical Distancing: We will have spaced seating in between each family unit (50 people max at each building).

Preregistration: We ask for you to fill out a simple pre-registration to attend services. Online registration will be available on Wednesday, June 17th. Please watch for more details coming soon.

Entry: There will be clearly marked entry and exit areas for the services

Masks: Protective masks are highly recommended and encouraged by not required. All volunteers will be wearing masks.

Family Worship Service: We will worship all together for a one hour service. Rooted and the Nursery will not be available.

Breakfast Time: No food or beverage will be offered at this time before or after the service.

Live Streaming: We will continue to live stream the service at 10:30a for those that would like to continue to worship from home.

“Touchless Worship” Experience:

  • We ask you to not give handshakes or hugs, there will be no greeting time
  • All high touch surfaces (door handles, restrooms) will be sanitized before and after the service
  • Additional hand-sanitizing stations will be available in the restrooms and sanctuary
  • No offering plates will be passed during the service. There will be a designated area in the back of the sanctuary for you to give.

How you can help:

  • Please stay home if you do not feel well or have been exposed to the virus. Please join us online for the worship service.
  • Please wash your hands and use hand sanitizer as you come in.
  • Please maintain a distance of 6 feet for yourself and your family from others at all times.

PHASE 2: TRANSITION

Start Date: TBD

What we will be doing:

Services: We will be able to have 100 people in a building. We will continue to monitor to see if we will need 1 or 2 buildings to safely hold our service while continuing moderate physical distancing.

Kids: Rooted Kids will resume. We will continue to monitor the situation to see when the nursery will be open again. Entry: There will be clearly marked entry and exit areas for the services

Masks: Protective masks will be recommended by not required.

Breakfast Time: We will have a scaled down coffee time.

Live Streaming: We will continue to live stream the service at 10:30a for those that would like to continue to worship from home.

We will no longer have a “touchless worship experience”.

Safety:

  • All high touch surfaces (door handles, restrooms) will be sanitized before and after the service
  • Additional hand-sanitizing stations will be available in the restrooms and sanctuary
  • We will ask that those who do not feel well or who have been exposed to the virus to please watch online

PHASE 3: MOVING FORWARD

Start Date: TBD

What we will be doing:

Services: We will be holding one service at 10:30a with no physical distancing requests.

Masks: Masks will not be worn by volunteers. If you still feel a need to wear a mask, you are welcome too. No judgement will be given.

Kids: Rooted Children’s Ministry and the Nursery will be available during the Sunday Morning service.

Breakfast Time: The full breakfast and fellowship time will be available before the service.

Live Streaming: We will continue to live stream the service at 10:30a for those that would like to continue to worship from home.

Safety:

  • Hand sanitizer stations will continue to be available in the sanctuary, children’s classrooms and the kitchen.
  • Cleaning will occur before and after the service.
  • We will continue to ask those that are not feeling well or have been exposed to the virus to stay home.
