This Christmas season, we will take four weeks to look at our hope being in an actual person, Jesus! In this world, we face disappointments and we can lose hope. But when we keep our eyes on our eternal source of hope, Jesus, we can experience joy and freedom no matter what our circumstances. Take a look below at all the different things we will be doing to celebrate this special season together!

Hope Has a Name

Hope is the confident anticipation that things will get better, brighter days are ahead, help is on its way, relief is near, dreams will be fulfilled, and the suffering one has endured will not be wasted, but instead, produce an abundance of lasting, good fruit. A lack of hope can quickly lead to despondency that turns into despair and checking out. Hope, on the other hand, fuels perseverance. As important as hope is to a thriving life, hope is only as good as its object. The question we must ask is this, “Can the object of my hope actually deliver what I am hoping for?” Join us this Christmas season as Pastor Shane explains why Jesus Christ is the only sure and certain basis for hope.

Join us Sunday mornings in person at 9 or 10:45am.

The ROOTED kids will be having a Christmas Gift Open House from 10:10 - 10:40 and 11:50 - 12:15 on Sunday, December 5. They have been hard at work creating ornaments, Christmas décor and more for you to purchase. Please invite family and friends to stop by and purchase an item or two - or more! All proceeds from the open house will be added to the Thrill of Hope Christmas Special Giving fund.

We want to be intentional about GIVING rather than just receiving as we head into the holidays. Our goal is to anonymously provide Christmas JOY that will bring smiles to faces and spotlight that Jesus (the Hope) is here!

Do you know of a family, friend, or organization that could use an extra dose of hope this Christmas season? We want to bless members of our community with a tangible reminder that they are loved--by providing a Christmas gift that meets a need, fulfills a wish, or simply brings some joy. We ask that you prayerfully consider donating to this special giving project. We're trusting God to provide just the right amount of funds to allow us to bring a thrill of hope to our community.

We are all looking for Hope! What if Hope is found in a name? You and your family are invited to join a special Christmas Service this year as we celebrate the birth of Jesus together. Join us for our Christmas Eve service on Friday, December 24 at 3 and 4:30pm to celebrate the birth of our loving Savior! Doors will open 30 minutes before each service, and there will be cookies, a hot chocolate bar, activities for kids, and a photo area in the basement. This year let us “turn toward hope” in a name.
